International News: Record order book for Numarine

5.04.2012 | Bootsbau, Werften

Turkish yacht producer has seen orders increase five-fold in 12 months.

Turkish performance motoryacht producer Numarine has announced that its order book has reached a record level with a five-fold increase in just 12 months. The news follows strong success at the most recent Cannes, Istanbul and Miami boat shows.

Since the arrival of Numarine CEO Patrik von Sydow in 2010, the company has embarked on a growth strategy involving new distribution in the Americas, the Far East, several countries in Europe as well as Turkey.

The Turkish builder now boasts an order book that reaches well into 2013 – a major turnaround compared to the years following the financial crises in 2008/09.

“The development in sales gives the business a strong platform for imminent new product releases including a 68’ Fly Bridge and Hard Top model planned for launch in Q1 2013 as well as a new 105’ Hard Top, all of which are truly stunning and above all different to what exists in the market place today,” says von Sydow.

Whilst maintaining a close working relationship with Numarine moving forward as a active board member, von Sydow has decided to return to the UK to join his family. Numarine founder Omer Malaz resumes the role of CEO with immediate effect.

Based in Istanbul, Turkey, Numarine builds high-performance motoryachts from 17m-40m (55ft-130ft).
