Strictly Sail Miami show to return to separate exhibit area.

By IBI Magazine. Strictly Sail Miami, which moved to Sea Isle Marina this year because of the recession, will relocate to the Miamarina at Bayside in 2011. The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) said in a statement that the move will “meet the needs and preferences” of exhibitors and attendees. It will be held in conjunction with next year’s Miami International Boat Show.

“While Sea Isle Marina was a needed move to address industry demands in 2010, the return to Strictly Sail Miami’s traditional home at Miamarina at Bayside is the most logical location for the sailing industry,” said Kevin Murphy, Strictly Sail Miami show manager, in a statement. The trade association said that last year’s relocation was necessary for it to stay “viable” in the future. Murphy said that the Bayside location allows “everyone to reap the maximum benefits of an all-sail show.”
